Objectives: Encourage self-expression, creativity and imagination. Introduce the concept of size of self. Materials: Large roll of paper (brown wrapping paper works well) Crayons, markers, magazine or newspaper clippings, yarn, glitter, construction paper, glue stick, scissors

Instructions: Unroll the paper on the floor. Let the child lie down on the paper and trace the child's shape with a marker. Let the child create their self-portrait with crayon, marker, newspaper clippings or magazine cut outs. Suggest that the child draw things they enjoy, like the family dog or just allow them to color the outline. Cut out the child?s shape and display on the wall.
