|Instructions: I wanted to share this wonderful hands on idea that I have
done for years with my children. Pumpkin Stew!
You need a medium size pumpkin, clean it out like you
were going to carve a jack-0-lantern. Put pumpkin on a baking sheet. Fill with all your
favorite stew makings and bake in a 350 oven until
your stew is done, appox 2-2 1/2 hours depending
on your pumpkin size. Serve right out of the pumpkin.
|Comments: Modify this as you like with your own spices. Allow each child to have a job in creating this: one puts in the meat, one each vegetable, etc. Be careful putting into and pulling out of the stove.
