Objectives: Sing the Hokey Pokey and learn about shapes! Materials: Materials: cut out shapes with different colored felt pieces. For instances orange circles. Make enough felt shapes for every child in your class. Try to at least use the major shapes such as triangle, circle,rectangle, square and oval. Other suggestions are diamonds, semicircle and hexagons for more challenges.

Instructions: Activity: Have the precut shapes of felt on the floor in front of each child. Explain to the kids that your going to teach them a new song and when they hear a certain shape they need to find the shape in their pile and hold up and do the actions in the song!!
